Late Tuesday, the Andalusia Police Department arrested two individuals believed to be responsible for at least six vehicle burglaries in the Country Club area.

Lt. Paul Dean said the burglaries occurred between late Monday night and early Tuesday morning at five different residences in the area.

“There were numerous items stolen including scuba diving equipment, a laptop and a fire arm,” Dean said. “Right now, we have two in custody, but investigators are still working to determine what exact charges they will face, as well as notifying all the victims and recovering property.”

Dean said more information in the cases will be released today.
