MARY ‘LOUISE’ BLACK DUBOSE

Mary “Louise” Black Dubose, 81, of Andalusia, passed away at her home on Thurs., Aug. 11, 2011.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., on Sun., Aug. 14, at Oakey Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Eugene Meadows, the Rev. Wayne Sharpe and the Rev. Dwayne Seay officiating. Burial followed in the Salem Baptist Church cemetery.

She enjoyed cooking and laughing, cherished her family and friends and loved her Lord Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her son, Billy (Diane) Black of Saraland; her daughters, Angie (Tony) Davis, Karen (Don) Weeks and Patricia Jones; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Aubrey Black and Johnny Dubose, and her son, Danny Black.

JAMES THOMAS ALLRED

James Thomas Allred, 67, of Andalusia, died Fri., Aug. 12, 2011, at his residence.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m., Sun., Aug. 14, at the Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Cotter officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Jewell Allred of Andalusia; his son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Kim Allred; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Steve Rambo and Cathy and Bill Holcomb of Andalusia; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Norma Allred; and sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Gene Russell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Harmony Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.

NINA MERLE BULLOCK

Nina Merle Bullock, 87, of Red Level, died Fri., Aug. 12, 2011, at her residence.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sun., Aug. 14, at the Fairmount Baptist Church with the Rev. John Bell officiating. Interment followed in Fairmount Cemetery. Special music was by the Fairmount Baptist Church choir, accompanied by Traci Bell, and also by Jane Hughes, Frances Rabren and Faye Best.

Survivors include her sisters, Mary Lou Nichols and Betty Johnson, both of Red Level; her nieces and nephews, Larry (Sara) Nichols of Red Level; Connie (Randy) Seale of Andalusia, Marvin (Joann) Cherry of Alabaster and Dean (Sara) Cherry of Mathews; great-nephews, Tripp Cherry, Kline Cherry, Jason Seale, Manley Seale, Graham Seale, Rocky Nichols and Tracy Nichols; and great-nieces, Christy Cherry Thompson and Danielle Cherry

She is preceded in death by her sister, Jean Cherry.

Memorials may be made to the Lelia Lee Scholarship at Fairmount Baptist Church.

Serving as pallbearers were Rocky Nichols, Tracy Nichols, Marvin Cherry, Tripp Cherry, Dean Cherry and Kline Cherry.

Honorary pallbearers were Randy Seale and Larry Nichols.
