Lorene Williams, 87, of the Straughn Community, passed away Wed., Aug. 24, 2011, in the Opp Nursing Home.

Paul M. Windham, 97, of Andalusia, passed away Wed., Aug. 24, 2011, in the Opp Hospital.

MARY ANDERSON

Mary Anderson, 81, of Andalusia, passed away Thurs., Aug. 25, 2011, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m., today, Sat., Aug. 27, with the Rev. Dale Sallans officiating. Burial will follow at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest Anderson; son, Tommy (Robin) Anderson of Birmingham; daughter, Lisa (Jim) Locklier of Andalusia; and three grandchildren, Georgia Anderson, Patrick Anderson and Anna Locklier; and a brother, Jack E. Cornwald of Chester, S.C.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made in her honor to First Presbyterian Church.

ALEX WAYNE FEAGIN

Alex Wayne Feagin, 48, of Calhoun, Ga., formerly of the Brooklyn community, died Mon., Aug. 22, 201,1 from injuries received in an automobile accident.

He was born on June 19, 1963, in Brooklyn, the son of Jack and Carolyn Alford Feagin, and had been a resident of Gordon County, Ga., for 29 years. He was owner-operator of Al’s 41 North Car Wash, and had formerly been employed with the Gordon County Sheriff’s Department.

He was a member of Coosawattee Lodge #306 F&AM. He loved the outdoors and was an avid University of Alabama fan.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., today, Sat., Aug. 27, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Fred Karthaus officiating. Burial will follow in the Brooklyn Baptist Church cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Reeves Feagin; three sons, Joshua Feagin, Jacob Feagin, and Zach Feagin; a daughter, Avaida Feagin, all of Calhoun, Ga.; parents, Jack and Carolyn Feagin of Brooklyn; a stepson, David Gladney of Calhoun, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Keisha Gladney of Douglasville, Ga.; grandchildren, Devin, Jayla, Nathaniel “Nath,” Tye and Avah; and a step-grandson, Dominic Gladney.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Allen Feagin in 2010.
