Deaths grim reminders

The traffic deaths of a mother and her infant son this week on Interstate 65 in Clanton are grim reminders of something we shouldn’t do: Text and drive.

State troopers say the drive was texting while driving before losing control of her vehicle. She lost control of her vehicle, which crossed the median and collided with a dump truck.

All of us who’ve been guilty of this seemingly-innocent thing, texting, should be reminded that no message is worth risking our lives and the lives of our children.
