LINDA THOMASSON HUGGINS

Linda Thomasson Huggins, 67, of Andalusia, died Mon., Sept. 5, 2011, in Montgomery.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., today, Wed., Sept. 7, at the Cedar Grove Church of Christ with Ministers Brent Missildine, Doug Smith and Eddie Boggess officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Survivors include her husband, Samuel Farris Huggins of Andalusia; her daughter and son-in-law, Candy H. and Joe McClendon of Montgomery; her sons and daughters-in-law, Sammy and Beth Huggins and Britt and Shannon Huggins of Prattville; her grandchildren, Pierce Huggins, Ashton Huggins, Ansley Huggins, Julia McClendon, Elexis Huggins and Caden Huggins; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Christine Thomasson of Panama City, Fla.; and sister, Shirley Thomasson of St. Mary’s, Ga.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Grantham, Chris Grantham, Thagard Colvin, Ray Colvin, Terry Pierce, Joe Keller, Curt Thomasson and Curtis Thomasson.

CLEO RAWLS BROOK

Cleo Rawls Brook, 101, of Niceville, Fla., formerly of the Andalusia area, Sun., Sept. 4, 2011, in a Niceville, Fla., nursing home.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thurs., Sept. 8, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Sharpe officiating, and burial following in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be tonight from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth “Butch” and Barbara Brook of Niceville, Fla.; her grandchildren, Heather and Clark Murray and Ken and Dawn Brook; great-grandchildren, Ella Clark Murray, Kate Murray and Tatum Brook; and a sister, Erris Croom of Columbus, Ga.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rex Brook, and infant son, Billy Rex Brook.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.

MARTHA STEARNS

Martha Stearns, 84, of Richmond, Texas, formerly of Andalusia, passed away Wed., Aug. 31, 2011, in Richmond, Texas.

Graveside services were held 11 a.m., Mon., Sept. 5, at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Pritchett officiating and Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her sons, James M. Stearns and Billie R. Stearns; a daughter-in-law, DeAnn Stearns, all of Richmond, Texas; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Tim Mancil, Derrick Walker, Jason Butts, Charles Batson, William “Scooter” Douglas and Steve Kelley.
