YVONNE DARNELL DUBOSE

Yvonne Darnell Dubose, 75, of Andalusia, died Sun., Sept. 11, 2011, at her residence.

Graveside services were held 13, at Pine Crest Cemetery in Mobile with Brother John Gibbons officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her sons, Karl (Sherrie) Dubose of Andalusia and Steve (Jane) Dubose of Snellville, Ga.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her brothers, Leon Darnell of Fairhope and Albert N. “Sonny” Darnell Jr. of Cummings, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.

CALVIN WATKINS

Calvin Watkins, 42, of the Heath Community, died Sat., Sept. 10, 2011, at his residence.

Funeral services were held Mon., Sept. 12, at the Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Cotter officiating and burial following in Harmony Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Candy Watkins of Heath; his son, James Calvin Watkins; daughter, Shelby Lynn Watkins; parents, Calvin Wayne and Retha Watkins of Heath; a brother and sister-in-law, Christopher Heath and Jamie Watkins, and their children, Emily Townsend and Kaige Watkins; sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Rickey Arnett and their children, Sydney and Logan Arnett; father-in-law, James Sirmon; brother-in-law and wife, Johnny and Shay Adams; sister-in-law, Nikki Cobb; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

IRA RICHARD DENNIS

Ira Richard Dennis, 31, of Andalusia, passed away Thurs., Sept. 8, 2011, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Graveside services will be held 1 p.m., Wed., Sept. 14, at the Nazerene Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing and the Rev. Jay Driver officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Lowery Dennis of Onyca; mother, Mary Weaver of Power Springs, Ga.; two sons, Dillian Dennis and Triston Blain Nicholson of Rome, Ga.; one brother, Raymond Dennis of Andalusia; and one sister, Teresa Emry of Houma, La.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Irwin Dennis.

BROGDEN

Jennie Mae Brogden, 57, of Andalusia, passed away Sat., Sept. 10, 2011, at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held 3 pm., Wed., Sept. 14, at Keahey Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Richard Moss and the Rev. Ed Ganus officiating. Interment will follow in Stone Lake Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be tonight from 6-8 p.m. at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Casey Brogden; daughter, Angela Queen; brothers, Leon (Frances) Mitchell, all of Andalusia, Johnny (Patricia) Mitchell of Smith Station, Claude Quinley of Christine, Texas, and David (Linda) Mitchell of Andalusia; sister, Sara Coleman of Phenix City; and grandchildren, Gavin Brogden, Tanner Brogden, Landrie Kelley, Patrick Thomas and Brittany Thomas (Luke) Williams.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Brogden; parents, Barney and Mary Bell Mitchell, and son-in-law, Gerald Queen.

Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Palmer, Steve Palmer, Dale Pike, Jody Armstrong, John Tobias and Kendrick Weaver.
