“HATE IT!!!!”

“Do not like it!!!”

That’s what The Star-News Facebook fans were saying about the social network’s new layout, which was updated Wednesday.

The newspaper put out a Facebook call to its fans on Wednesday.

Star-News’ Facebook fan Marie Smith Harman said the new layout is a lot different than the old one.

“It is confusing, difficult to navigate, and I can’t control what I want to see,” Harman said. “They now seem to make that decision for me, and they are not even close.”

Facebook user Susan Byrd agrees with Harman.

“They won’t fix the things that won’t work on here, but screw up a perfectly good layout that was easy to access and understand!” Byrd said.

Facebook’s new layout change includes a scrolling news feed to the right of the home page and a re-vamped “recent stories” section, to name a couple.

April Barton said, “We humans hate change, even if it is for the better. We like the familiar. Having said that, no, I don’t like the new (Facebook)!”

Many others shared the fact that the older layout was working for them.

“I just really don’t care for it myself,” Charlotte Coon said. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
