There are horrors awaiting local residents brave enough to venture into Florala’s Factory of Horrors.

For the second year in a row, the Paxton Dixie Youth League and Warehouse Market Mall will team up to host a haunted house.

Inside the converted warehouse, one will find 18 rooms of fright, including scenes from popular horror movies like The Ring, Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street.

Christa Merrifield-Mitchell, organizer, said proceeds will be used to benefit the youth sports program.

“We sent seven teams to the state playoffs last year, and this is a huge fundraiser for the children of the ballpark,” she said. “We are also trying to raise money to put nets over the ball park to prevent foul balls from hitting bystanders watching games, well as begin preparing for funds needing next year.”

Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. It will open for business on Friday at 6:30 p.m. Hours of operation will be Friday and Saturday nights through the month of October.
