Hunter ed course in November

The Alabama Hunter Education Course will be offered by the Alabama Conservation Department’s Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division on the MacArthur Campus of LBW Community College in Opp, Nov. 7, 8, 9 and 10. This four-day course will be held in the conference center building from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. each night.

The hunter education course is a minimum of 10 hours of instruction plus a written examination. Students will be given a written exam to test for certification on the last night of class. The course includes, but is not limited to, firearm safety and handling, responsible hunting and hunter ethics, wildlife law, and game care.

There is no charge to attend this course or the certification exam. Participants must be 10 years old or older to attend the class and receive certification. Participants will need to bring their social security card with them on the first night of class.
