These Cub Scout scarecrows are putting to use the skills they’ve learned in their outdoor survival training. Opp Cub Scout Pack 25 was among the local organizations and businesses to take part in the annual Scarecrows in the Park event at Frank Jackson State Park.

Boy Scouts, Elvis, pirates and an operating room are among the characters on display in Opp’s Frank Jackson State Park for the next two months.

The Lake Frank Jackson Trail Masters Association sponsors the exhibit, which opened last week.

Scarecrows in the Park,” will remain open through November. The trails are free, but there is a small fee to enter the park – children from ages 6 to 11 and seniors age 62 and older pay $1, and adults, $2.

The park is open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
