J.B. BROOKS

J. B. Brooks, 89, of Andalusia, died Mon., Oct. 10, 2011, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wed., Oct. 12, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Fred Kelley officiating, and burial following in Five Runs Cemetery. Visitation will be held tonight at 5 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ethel Brooks of Andalusia; his daughters and son-in-law, Linda Sue Creech of Andalusia, Sherry Hyatt of Dadeville and Sandra and Ben Foreman of Opp; his grandchildren, Chad Brooks, Tanner Brooks, Derek Caudill, John Creech, Dana Manka and Mary Evans; and great-grandchildren, Rachel Evans, Travis Evans, Shelby Creech, Tannar Creech, Austin Champion and Matty Champion.

He is preceded in death by his son, Lester Brooks.

Pallbearers will be Charles Roland, Dillon Roland, Tom Kyzer, Walter Harris, Mike Tyler, Cecil Ammons, John Williamson and Danny Paul Poole.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tanner Brooks, Derek Caudill, John Creech, Joe Bush, Garrett Roland, Bob Johnson, Quinton Creech, Jonathon Garrett and Danny Poole.

IDA B. PETERSON

Ida B. Peterson, 99, of Andalusia, died Fri., Oct. 7, 2011, in the Andalusia Manor.

Funeral services were held Mon., Oct. 10, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Lee and the Rev. Dennis Knowles officiating. Burial followed in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Billy Joe and Glenda Turner of Gantt and Jimmy and Sharrie Peterson of Andalusia; her grandchildren, Billy Wayne Turner, Tony Turner, Brian Peterson and Eric Peterson; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Turner, Hunter Turner and Ryan Dale Peterson; a step great-grandchild, Laura Short; and one sister, Lorene Boyter of Shreveport, La.

Mrs. Peterson is preceded in death by her husband, Brazell Peterson; sisters, Mary Hill Windham, Ethel Lee Castleberry, Jean Tindle and Epsy Turner; and brothers, Edlow Lawson and Willie Henry Lawson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Highland Baptist Church building fund.
