Arrested and booked into the Covington County Jail by the Covington County Sheriff’s Office – including the Florala, Lockhart, Red Level, Opp and River Falls Police Departments

Oct. 17, 2011:

• Ronald E. Brooks III, 25, for two grand jury indictments, failure to appear, second-degree theft of property and possession of a forged instrument and held on a $120,000 bond.

• Eric Daniels, 36, for being a fugitive from justice and held without bond.

• Mary Howard, 49, for public intoxication and held on a $300 bond.

Web Clarification: It was reported in the Tues., Oct. 18, edition, that Chuck W. Pelham, 44, was arrested for first-degree domestic violence (DVI); however, Mr. Pelham was arrested on charges of driving while under the influence (DUI). The Star-News is happy to clarify this for our readers.
