The Andalusia PeeWee Bulldogs just keep winning.

With a 32-6 win over the Baker Gators on Saturday afternoon, the Bulldogs advance to play the Opp Bobcats this week in the second round of the Tri-County Youth Football League East Division playoffs.

“I am happy for these young men,” Bulldogs PeeWee head coach Casey Jones said. “It has been several years since an Andalusia PeeWee team has went this deep in the season.”

The first offensive possessions for both teams were three-and-outs. This was the second time this season Andalusia had to punt the ball.

The Bulldogs stepped up on defense, holding Baker on a fourth-and-one play, where Will Clark made the tackle to force the ball over on downs.

Clark and Zion Bullard led Andalusia in tackles.

On Andalusia’s next offensive possession, Jamal Hourel rushed for 46 yards for the touchdown, and Grant Holley scored the extra point.

Hourel had two rushing touchdowns for the night from 15 and 46 yards out.

Andalusia’s defense came through again on Baker’s next offensive possession. Undre Johnson stepped out in front of a pass for an interception for his second this season.

B.J. Anderson then took the ball in from 30 yards for the score, and the extra point was no good.

Anderson also had two rushing touchdowns from 11 and 30 yards out.

Hourel scored his 15-yard touchdown on Andalusia’s next possession, and Holley made the reception for the extra point.

Andalusia held a 20-0 lead at half time, and the Bulldogs got off to a good start in the second half.

B.J. Anderson scored on a 14-yard scamper to help Andalusia take a 26-0 lead with the extra point no good.

Andalusia got its final touchdown when Kendrick Brown scored on a 10-yard touchdown rush at the start of the fourth quarter.

Baker scored late in the fourth quarter at the end of the game.

The Bulldogs’ second round game against Opp will be in Brewton this Saturday.
