Police have captured the Andalusia woman described as a serial bad check writer.
On Wednesday, the Covington County District Attorney’s Office asked for the public’s help in locating Skylar Whit-ney Hill, 24, of Anda-lusia. Hill was wanted on 16 counts of negotiating a worthless instrument, or “bad checks,” after purchasing nearly $3,000 of merchandise.
On Sunday, a citizen’s tip called into the Andalusia Police Department led to her arrest.
“Ms. Hill was found on Barton Street and arrested by Deputy Ken Harris and Joe Barton, captain of the Sheriff’s Posse,” said Max Smith, DA investigator.
“A while back, we used this same method to get another bad check writer,” Smith said. “We got him in two days. This one took a little long, but the end result was the same – thanks to the public’s help.”
