The county needs only about three more inches of rainfall at Yellow River Bridge to meet last year’s total.

Figures released from the Choctawhatchee, Pea and Yellow Rivers Watershed Management Authority showed that in September, 8.24 inches of rain fell at the site – an increase of nearly 7-inches from the same period last year.

In October, totals were down slightly with .48-inches. In total, 36.72 inches of rainfall has been logged at the bridge – a difference of 3.12-inches from 2010.
