Covington County District 3 Commissioner (Florala area) Harold Elmore officially switched from the Democrat Party to the Republican Party Mon., Nov. 7, 2011, after the Covington County GOP Executive Committee voted to approve the switch.

Elmore’s action brings the total number of Covington County elected Democrats who have switched to the Republican Party since the November 2010 election to 10.
