Work should begin on laying the foundation to the new Andalusia High School athletic facility next week.

Superintendent Ted Watson said Monday the footers and plumbing are installed and concrete should be poured next week, weather permitting.

He said the metal building will not be delivered to the site until after the first of the year at the earliest.

“It’s great to see working happening out there,” said Dr. Bill King, board chairman.
