Red Level’s fast-paced basketball game proved too much for Opp Bobcats Friday night as the Tigers went on to a 65-48 season-opening victory over the Bobcats at RLS.

K.J. Lawrence led all Tigers with 19 points. Dee Tolbert chipped in 11 points, and James Feagin had 10.

The Tigers led 38-24 at half time, and outscored the Bobcats14-8 in the third period. Opp came back, and then outscored Red Level 16-13 in the fourth.

Tyler Ferguson and Tavise Stoudemire led the Bobcats with nine points each.

In girls action, the Lady Bobcats dominated the Lady Tigers, using their quick transition game in a 72-33 rout.

Laiken Free led Opp with 25 points, and Nisha Stoudemire had 10 points.

Ali Jessie chipped in nine points, and Saquaya Lane added eight.

Dionah Smith had 20 points for the Lady Tigers.

In B-team action, Opp won 24-17.

Red Level’s varsity boys will travel to play in the Enterprise Thanksgiving Tournament today and the beginning of next week.

The Tigers will play Andalusia today at 11:30 a.m. in the first round.
