The 9-and-under All-Stars soccer team finished runner up at the Alabama Recreation and Parks Association state tournament in Dothan on Sunday.

Andalusia beat Jacksonville 8-0 to win in pool play, but fell to Alex City 5-0 in the championship.

On Saturday, the 9U team beat Athens 4-2, and Dothan 1-0 to advance in pool play.

This is the furthest the 9U team has advanced in the state tournament.

In 9U girls action, Andalusia lost to Dothan Blue and Prattville.

The 11U girls lost to Dothan and Prattville, but beat Troy to earn its only win of the tournament.

The 15U co-ed team lost to Prattville, Dothan and Opelika.
