Thanksgiving may be only days away, but folks are preparing to feast their eyes on festive holiday décor in the coming weeks.
Opp’s Three Arts Club’s Holiday Tour of Homes showcases three homes and the newly renovated Opp Cultural Arts Center, all of which will be decked out in holiday furnishings on Dec. 4 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
Organizer Martha Chisum said that each spot on the tour will feature its own unique style.
“It’s always a treat to see how everyone decorates,” she said. “These are just beautiful homes.”
Homes on the tour will include:
• Scott and Yana Wyatt at 606 E. Hart Avenue;
• Peggy Percival at 101 Oakwood Drive in Dogwood Acres;
• Neal and Abby Presley at 27848 County Road 72
Chisum said the tour will begin at the Opp Cultural Arts Center and tickets may be purchased there for $8.
“We’ll have light refreshments and then we’ll disperse,” she said. “We want everyone to see what we’ve done at the center.”
Chisum said proceeds from the tour go to fund arts scholarships for high school students.
“We work hard to do this,” she said. “And sometimes we’ve been able to give more than one scholarship.”
Those who wish to purchase tickets ahead of time may contact Chisum at 493-3811 or stop by the OCAC.
