Andalusia’s boys claimed the No. 8 spot in Class 4A in the first Alabama Sports Writers Association basketball poll, which was released today.

The Bulldogs fell to Luverne on Tuesday night, and lost to Enterprise two times earlier this season.

Andalusia (6-3) beat Dothan twice to start the season.

In girls, Andalusia (7-2) and Straughn (8-0) were nominated, but not ranked.
