Michael John Smith, 59, of Brantley, passed away on Sun., Dec. 11, 2011.

MRS. MARY CLEO PATE

Mrs. Mary Cleo Pate, 89, of Evergreen, died Sun., Dec. 11, 2011, in Andalusia Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be Wed., Dec. 14, at 11 a.m., at New Providence Church in Paul. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Evergreen, with arrangements by Cope Funeral Home.

Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at New Providence Church.

Born on Oct. 20, 1922, she spent her adult life as a homemaker.

She is survived by her sons, Alex Pate, Gary Wayne Pate and Kenneth Pate, all of Evergreen; brother, Thomas J. McClain of Paul; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

 

MRS. ELISABETH ELLENOR WEHRLY

Mrs. Elisabeth Ellenor Wehrly, 70, of Andalusia, died Thurs., Dec. 8, 2011, at her residence.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date by Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wehrly was the officer club manager at Eglin Air Force Base for more than 20 years prior to retirement.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Marler of Andalusia; two sons, Michael Wehrly of Baker, Fla., and Pete Wehrly of South Carolina; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Pete Wells of New Port News, Va., and Marshall Wells of Colorado Springs, Colo.

MISS WYNONA POWELL

Miss Wynona Powell, 93, of Andalusia, died Fri., Dec. 9, 2011, in a local nursing facility.

Funeral services were held Sun., Dec. 11, at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home with Dr. Fred Karthaus officiating, and burial following at Stone Lake Cemetery.

She is survived by two sisters, Lorraine Carter of Andalusia and Neva Carter of Winter Park, Fla.; sister-in-law, Nan Powell; and a number of nieces and nephews.
