Andalusia Lady Bulldogs senior Shi’Amber Townsend scored 16 points in her team’s 59-26 win over Georgiana on Tuesday night.

Shandrika Thompkins added 10 points, and Latricia Crittenden had eight points for the Lady Bulldogs.

The Lady Bulldogs improve to 8-2 overall this season.

In boys action, the Panthers won 61-56.

Andalusia (8-5) had three players finish in double figures.

Jacard Townsend had 18 points, Niguel Jones had 16 points and Sam Byrd had 14 points.

For Georgiana, Adrian Rich led the Panthers with 22 points and Keyon Binion had 13 points.

Andalusia’s two remaining home games in 2011 will take place this Friday and Saturday.

The Bulldogs will play Hillcrest-Evergreen on Friday night, and then will face Houston Academy on Saturday night.

Friday’s games will begin at 4:30 p.m., and Saturday’s games will begin at 4 p.m.

After this week, the Bulldogs will have more than a week off before traveling to participate in the Ozark Hoop Classic Dec. 28-30.
