Florala falls to Samson, 63-52

Florala’s Wildcats fell 63-52 in varsity boys action on Monday night to Samson.

Jonathan Burleson led FHS with 12 points, and Colt Jackson chipped in 10 points.

“I thought our guys play very well throughout the game,” FHS coach Daniel Allison said. “We played with a lot of intensity, and were much more aggressive (Monday night) than previous games.”

Florala led 17-7 after the first period, but Samson came back and outscored the Wildcats 27-10 in the second to lead 34-27 at half time.

Samson led 48-37 at the end of the third period, and both teams were even at 15-each in the fourth period.

Hunter Oswald added nine points; John Bess had seven points; Austin McNeil and Dakota Worley had five points each; and Desmond Smiley had four points for Florala.

FHS will travel to play Red Level on Friday.
