MARY HELEN MITCHELL

Mary Helen Mitchell, 69, of Red Level, died Tues., Dec. 13, 2011, at her residence.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., today, Thurs., Dec. 15, at the South Church of God in Red Level with the Rev. Kenneth Mitchell and the Rev. Carl Turman officiating, with burial following in the church cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Mitchell; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Janice Mitchell, all of Red Level; her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Mark Watley of Columbus, Ga.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and her mother, Avis Stroud of Andalusia.

She is preceded in death by her son, James Kevin Mitchell; her father, Jack Stroud; and brother, Richard Stroud.

BENJAMIN RUDOLPH TURNER

Benjamin Rudolph Turner, 75, of Gantt, died Mon., Dec. 12, 2011, in the Enterprise Medical Center.

He was born May 7, 1936.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., today, Thurs., Dec. 15, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Lee and the Rev. Wayne Sharpe officiating and burial following in Goodhope Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Turner of Gantt; his sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Toni Turner, Terry Turner, Timmy and Linda Turner and Tracy and Donna Turner, all of Andalusia; his grandchildren, Jason (Maery Beth) Turner of Dadeville, Kin (Jessica) Turner of Ft. Drum, N.Y., Daniel Turner of Hailey, Idaho, Beth (Blaine) Cowan, Chase Turner, Gabriel Turner, Rochele Turner and Teri Lynn (Robert) Boyett; and great-grandchildren, Laecy Turner, Lillian Turner, Abygael Turner, Emberlynn Turner, Cheyenne Turner, Tristan Turner and Jadyn Brianna Cowan.

MIKE SMITH

Mike Smith, 59, of Brantley, passed away Sun., Dec. 11, 2011, at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., today, Thurs., Dec. 15, at Hickory Grove Church cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing and the Rev. Jeff Brown officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to services at the cemetery.

Survivors include his son, Michael Smith of Enterprise; stepsons, William Davis and Jerry Davis, both of Luverne; and brother, Larry Joe Smith of Opp.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jenkins, and his brother, David Lee Smith.
