EMMA JEAN HOWELL

Emma Jean Howell, 73, of Andalusia, died Sat., Dec. 17, 2011, in a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wed., Dec. 21, at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Barry Wilkerson officiating. Interment will follow at Carolina Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Wednesday at Foreman’s.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferrell Alton Howell; daughter, Pamela Howell; stepson, Eugene Howell; father, Ferrell Anderson Gunter; and brothers, Maynard Gunter, Wade Gunter and Hayward Gunter.

She is survived by six sons, Guy (Theresa) Howell, Rex Howell, Richard (Patricia) Howell, Kenny (Anne) Howell, Walter (Mellisa) Howell and Charlie (Melody) Howell, all of Andalusia; stepdaughter, Arlene Howell Pinton of Cantonment, Fla.; mother, Jewel Stone of Andalusia; 22 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Killburn; and brother, Lamar Gunter, all of Andalusia.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, C. J. Howell, Trevor Howell, Steven Howell, Michael O’Rourke, Devan Ellis, Stephen McInnes and Kyle Marlowe.

Honorary pallbearer will be Randy Sasser.
