An Andalusia man has made it onto Santa’s “naughty list” after allegedly using a stolen debit card to buy his own Christmas gifts this year.
Sgt. Jason Curry of the And-alusia Police Depa-rtment said 22-year-old Cla-rence Marshall used the card, which was stolen from a residence out in the county, at Walmart earlier this month to purchase more than $1,000 worth of items.
“He bought an Xbox 360, games, clothes and a cell phone,” Curry said of Marshall’s alleged purchases. “Guess he just decided to go Christmas shopping.”
Curry said Marshall was identified using video surveillance and now faces seven counts of fraudulent use of a credit card and one count of second-degree theft. Jail records indicate Marshall is being held in the Covington County Jail under an $80,000 bond.
