Opp falls 44-42 to Flomaton at buzzer

The Opp Bobcats were just one shot away from defeating Flomaton on Thursday, but the buzzer sounded and the Hurricanes walked away with the 44-42 barn-burner.
Flomaton led 16-8 after the first period, and 23-22 at half time. Opp outscored FHS 16-15 in the second period.
The game was at 35-35 at the end of the third period.
Zyki Wade led the Bobcats with 10 points, Derek Savage chipped in nine points; and Tyler Ferguson and Dane Buckelew had seven points each.
Opp was 9-of-17 from the free-throw line.
The Bobcats will play McKenzie today at 10:30 a.m.
