MARILYN WEATHERFORD ROGERS

Marilyn Weatherford Rogers, 79, died Dec. 27, 2011, at her residence.

She had been a resident of Opp for the past 40 years. Formally of Darlington, S.C., Mrs. Rogers was born April 16, 1932, to Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Weatherford in Latta, S.C.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Rogers Jr., and her children, Donny (Donna), Renay, and Paul (Jenny) Rogers III; and six grandchildren, Jill, Jake, Russ, C.P., Jud Rogers and Brie Lowery

Private family services were held on Sun., Jan. 1, 2012.

 

DURHAM RICHARD ‘DICK’ BOZEMAN

Durham Richard “Dick” Bozeman, 79, of Red Level, passed away Tues., Jan. 3, 2012, in the Opp hospital.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., today, Thurs., Jan. 5, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Canant officiating. Special music will be provided by Patricia Gibson. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Wynette Bozeman; sons, Charles Allen Bozeman, Mike (Cindy) Bozeman, all of Red Level, and Sam Henry Bozeman of Gantt; daughter, Ruthie Mae (Donnie) Watford of Red Level; sister, Erma Nell Myers of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; grandchildren, Leann Watford, Michael (Randi) Bozeman and Jodie (Daniel) Hart; and great-grandchildren, Riley Watford and Cali Marie Hart.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Harper, Ricky Ballard, Shannon Gibson, Roy McCarty, Jeremy Parnell and Ricky Gibson.

 

THOMAS A. ROBINSON

Thomas A. Robinson, 55, of Andalusia, died Tues., Jan. 3, 2012, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m., today, Thurs., Jan. 5, at the New Home Congregational Church with the Rev. Billy Boles officiating, and interment following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the church at 1:30 p.m. Foreman Funeral Home will be in charge of services.

Survivors include his daughter, Ashley Robinson of Virginia; his father, Michael O’Rourke Sr., of Andalusia; two sisters and brother-in-law, Lori and Larry Tyree of Andalusia and Leah Waller of Mobile; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Sarah O’Rourke of Wing, Sean and Nancy O’Rourke and Brien and Latoya O’Rourke, all of Andalusia.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Althea Yvonne O’Rourke.

The family requests no flowers; instead, memorials may be made to New Home Congregational Church c/o Kerry Davis, pastor.
