REYNOLD RUDOLPH MESSICK

Reynold Rudolph Messick, 77, of the Cedar Grove Community, died Thurs., Jan. 5, 2012, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sun., Jan. 8, from Wyatt Funeral Home with burial following in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Henderson Messick; sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Danita Messick and Ricky and Lori Messick; brothers, Ottis Messick and Cecil Messick; sisters, Lola Owens, Elaine Owens, Janice Nelson and Connie Sasser; grandchildren, Lydia and Matthew Ellis, Hannah and Jason Clifford, David Messick, Katy Messick and Taylor Messick; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dallas and Peggy Henderson and Jake and Peggy Henderson; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Callie and Manuel Messick; siblings, Robert Messick, Lois Henderson and Lurleen Mahaffey; and parents-in-law, Clara and Macon Henderson.

Taylor Messick, David Messick, Matthew Ellis, Jason Clifford, Greg Henderson, Manuel Owens and Aaron Pope will be serving as pallbearers.

Phillip Morgan will be officiating with Wyatt Funeral Home in Opp directing.

 

MELISSA PILAND

Melissa Piland, 42, of Brewton, formerly of Andalusia. passed away Thurs., Jan. 5, 2012.

Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced later by Keahey Funeral Home.

 

DURHAM RICHARD ‘DICK’ BOZEMAN

Durham Richard “Dick” Bozeman, 79, of Red Level, passed away Tues., Jan. 3, 2012, in the Opp hospital.

Funeral services were held on Thurs., Jan. 5, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Canant officiating. Special music was provided by Patricia Gibson. Burial followed in the Mt. Carmel cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Wynette Bozeman; sons, Charles Allen Bozeman, Mike (Cindy) Bozeman, all of Red Level, and Sam Henry Bozeman of Gantt; daughter, Ruthie Mae (Donnie) Watford of Red Level; sister, Erma Nell Myers of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; grandchildren, Leann Watford, Michael (Randi) Bozeman and Jodie (Daniel) Hart; and great-grandchildren, Riley Watford and Cali Marie Hart.

Serving as pallbearers were John Harper, Ricky Ballard, Shannon Gibson, Roy McCarty, Jeremy Parnell and Ricky Gibson.

 

THOMAS A. ROBINSON

Thomas A. Robinson, 55, of Andalusia, died Tues., Jan. 3, 2012, at his residence.

Funeral services were held Thurs., Jan. 5, at the New Home Congregational Church with the Rev. Billy Boles officiating, and interment following in the church cemetery. Foreman Funeral Home was in charge of services.

Survivors include his daughter, Ashley Robinson of Virginia; his father, Michael O’Rourke Sr., of Andalusia; two sisters and brother-in-law, Lori and Larry Tyree of Andalusia and Leah Waller of Mobile; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Sarah O’Rourke of Wing, Sean and Nancy O’Rourke and Brien and Latoya O’Rourke, all of Andalusia.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Althea Yvonne O’Rourke.

The family requests no flowers; instead, memorials may be made to New Home Congregational Church c/o Kerry Davis, pastor.
