ALFRED OBERON SCOTT

Alfred Oberon Scott, 79, of Opp, died Thurs., Jan. 5, 2012, in Mizell Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sat., Jan. 7, from Wyatt Funeral Home with military graveside honors following in the Macedonia Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service.

He is survived by his daughters, Diane Scott Eiland and Lynn Scott Free; son, Richard Scott; sisters, Barbara Smith and Ollie McVay; and 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Frank and Carrie Pearl Scott; wife, Mary Scott; and son, Thomas Scott.

Gene Truman and Rodger Mims will be officiating, with Wyatt Funeral Home directing.
