Opp’s boys and girls basketball teams claimed an area sweep over Pike County on Friday night at OHS.

The boys narrowly beat PCHS 32-31 in the night cap.

It was a completely different game for the girls as the Lady Bobcats outscored the Lady Bulldogs 16-0 in the second period to win 66-16 in area action.

Tavise Stoudemire led with 10 points.

Opp led 21-17 at half time, 27-23 after the third period and held on late for the win.

Nisha Stoudemire led the Lady Bobcats with 17 points in the rout.

Opp will visit Geneva on Tuesday to continue its area action.
