JIM ODOM

Jim Odom, 80, of Andalusia, died Tues., Jan. 10, 2012, in Andalusia.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Fri., Jan. 13, from Foreman funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be tonight at 5:30 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Odom of Andalusia; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve (Susan) Odom and Jason (Cassy) Odom; daughters and sons-in-law, Susanne (Earl) Alsobrook, all of Andalusia, and Renee (David) Wells of Red Level; eight grandchildren, Bridgette (Trace) Forsyth, Blake Odom, Emily (Lee) Williams, Heather Williford, Morgan (Julie) Wells, John Wells, Kyleigh Odom and Ashtynn Odom; one great-grandchild, Hudson Forsyth; and one brother, Jack Odom of Andalusia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Lizzie Odom; infant daughter, Stephanie Genell Odom; brothers, James Henry Odom, Herman “Jay Bird” Odom, Vernon Odom and the Rev. Buster Odom; and sisters, Birdie May Newby, Myrtice Phillips, Ruby Owens and Voncille Odom.

 

GEORGE W. BASS

George W. Bass, 84, of Rockhole Bridge Road in Andalusia, passed away Thurs., Jan. 12, 2012, at his residence.

Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced later by Keahey Funeral Home.

 

BERTHA BLAIR HUTTO

Bertha Blair Hutto, 90, of Andalusia, died Wed., Jan. 11, 2012, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., today, Fri., Jan. 13, at Carolina Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Boles officiating. Interment will follow at Carolina Cemetery with Foreman Brown-Service directing.

Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Emily Ann Hutto.

Mrs. Hutto is survived by her husband, Howard Hutto of Andalusia; son and daughter-in-law, James Mark and Michele Hutto of Peach Tree City, Ga.; grandson, Matthew Hutto of Nashville, Tenn.; granddaughter, Melissa Leigh Hutto of Peach Tree City, Ga.; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Blair of Hope Hull.

Flowers or memorials may be made to the Carolina Cemetery Fund.
