Approximately 28 interested Andalusia High School and Andalusia Middle School students attended Monday night’s organizational meeting for the new AHS soccer program.

While there, interested students in 7-12 grade were given forms to fill out, such as a physical, insurance and information on the signs and symptoms of concussions.

The two-day tryout period will begin on Mon., Jan. 23, and a squad will be picked on Jan. 26.

Once the squad is picked, there will be practice held for two to three weeks before the team’s first match, which is slated for Feb. 28, against Houston Academy.

Andalusia will play three matches this season, as it is its first season to have a soccer team.

The Bulldogs will play Charles Henderson on March 9 and 28.
