Pleasant Home’s Tyler Worley, Lance Davis, Jeffrey Slaughter and Josh O’Neal had five rebounds each, and the Eagles beat rival and area foe Florala 32-24 on Tuesday night at FHS.
“It was a heck of a high school basketball game,” PHS coach Jerry Davis said. “It was a really good high school ball game.”
O’Neal led the Eagles with 10 points, and Slaughter chipped in eight points.
In girls action, the Lady Eagles dominated the Lady Wildcats with a 42-16 win.
The Lady Eagles led 10-7 after the first period, and 24-10 at half time. PHS took a 32-13 lead going into the fourth period.
Raven Woods had a double-double and led PHS with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Ashley Williamson chipped in 11 points and eight rebounds and had four assists.
“That was the most patient we have been on offense, and probably the best we have played defensively,” PHS coach Kelley Garner said. “Everybody stepped it up a notch (Tuesday night).”
