Pleasant Home’s Lady Eagles beat Kinston 54-32 on Friday night at KHS.

The Lady Eagles outscored the Lady Bulldogs 8-3 in the first period, and took a 23-5 half time lead.

After the third period, PHS led 38-21.

Raven Woods led the Lady Eagles with 27 points. The rest of the team scored with everyone seeing playing time, girls coach Kelley Garner said.

“We played good in spots,” she said.

The Lady Eagles improve to 5-1 in Class 1A, Area 2, and will flip a coin with Geneva County to see who will host the area tournament, which begins on Feb. 6.
