Mrs. Grundy has been too much under the weather to peep through her Venetian blinds this week, so those who’ve been “out and about” haven’t been seen.

She is, however, recovering, and though she plans not to open the door to callers – not quite ready to be dressed for company, she said – she will resume her post at the window, and her reporting, soon.
