ORA HESTER

Ora Hester, 91, of the Sanford Community, passed away Tues., Jan. 24, 2012, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., today, Thurs., Jan. 26, at New Providence Baptist Church in Paul with the Rev. Tommy Green officiating. Special music will be provided by her granddaughter, Evan Frye. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her three sons and daughters-in-law, Buddy and Dorothy Hester of Opp, Willis and Mary Jo Hester of Andalusia and David and Paula Hester; three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Cherry of Dothan, Gloria and Buddy Shiver of Andalusia and Karen and Donnie Hester; one sister and brother-in-law, Melba Jean and Bill Lambeth of Brewton; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Hester; a son-in-law, Garvin Langley; two brothers, Milton Pate and U. L. Pate; and a sister, Kathleen Hester.

 

CLEO KIRKLAND

Cleo Kirkland of Andalusia passed away Mon., Jan. 23, 2012, in an Opelika hospital.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Keahey Funeral Home.
