RONALD EVANS

Ronald Evans, 53, of Loango, died Sat., Feb. 4, 2012, in a Montgomery hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., today, Wed., Feb. 8, at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Loango with the Rev. Dennis Knowles officiating. Visitation will be from at the church 30 minutes prior to services.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Evans of Loango; his daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda Lynne and Micah Canterell of Colorado Springs, Colo., Melissa Sue and John Malwitz of Andalusia, and Cassidy Evans of Panama City, Fla.; his son, Jamie Shane Evans of Opp; two grandchildren, Molly Suzanne Cornett and Cameron James Nelson; a brother and sister-in-law, Howard D. and Patricia Evans of Holtville, Ala.; and sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara Jean McClain of Pelham, Ga., and Dolly Elaine and Stan White of Wetumpka; and several nieces and nephews.

WILLIAM GORDON LONGMIRE

William Gordon Longmire, 83, of Pensacola, Fla., formerly of Andalusia, died on Jan. 31, 2012, after a brief battle with cancer.

Services were held Fri., Feb. 3, with graveside services at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Faith Chapel Funeral Home handling the arrangements.

He retired from American Cyanmid after 27 years of employment. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Lois Longmire, and his sister, Marvilois Pounders.

He is survived by his sister, Doris Hicks of Andalusia; his wife, Syble; son, Sonny (Sophie) Longmire; daughters, Gail Cravey and Carolyn (John) Cobb; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, all of Pensacola; and an extended group of family and friends.
