Andalusia’s Lady Bulldogs bumped up two spots to No. 6 in the final Alabama Sports Writers Association poll that was released today.

The Class 4A Lady Bulldogs improved to 24-2 overall with a 72-55 thrashing over rival Opp last Friday night.

Andalusia will play host to its area tournament, which tips off tonight at 5:30 with Straughn and Ashford.

Straughn was nominated, but not ranked in the poll.

Pleasant Home’s girls, in Class 1A, is still at No. 10.
