Judge and Mrs. Charles Alex Short of Andalusia are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sara Catherine, to Wilson James Patrick, son of Mrs. Leah F. Patrick and Mr. Chris F. Patrick of Mobile.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Fletcher Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edwin Short of Andalusia.

She is a 2006 graduate of Andalusia High School and a 2010 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Auburn University. She also earned her master’s degree in English education from Auburn University in 2011. She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta social sorority, an Auburn University Marching Band majorette and a Mortar Board scholar, and she is currently employed by Auburn City Schools.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Barbara J. Funderburk and the late Mr. Tally Funderburk and Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. Patrick of Mobile.

He is a 2005 graduate of Cottage Hill Christian Academy and a 2011 graduate of Auburn University, where he majored in building science. He is currently employed by JPat construction of Mobile.

The couple will wed on March 10, 2012, at the First Baptist Church, Andalusia.
