When Andalusia Mayor Earl Johnson took questions at the Kiwanis meeting yesterday, it was suggested that “a great thing would be a movie theater.”

The mayor paused for a full 30 seconds.

“Well,” he said. “I’m working on that.”

Johnson said he and others are looking at developing a certain part of town as an entertainment and dining district.

“We are down the road a pretty good ways on that,” he said. “That’s all I can say on that without getting into trouble.”
