A Carolina woman is behind bars after being charged with sex and drug crimes against teenage boys, Drug Task Force officials said Tuesday.
Jennifer Denise Taylor, 31, was arrested and charged with transmitting obscene material to a child, sodomy II, distribution of a controlled substance to a minor; four counts of sex abuse II and six counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor.
DTF Commander Mark Odom said Taylor was arrested after an investigation was conducted when the DTF received calls that Taylor was allegedly “having wild parties involving teenagers.”
Odom said he interviewed several alleged victims and their parents on Monday.
“After we finished our interviews, I was outraged and disgusted,” he said. “It was mind-boggling to realize that a 30-year-old woman could commit crimes like the ones described by these boys.”
The ages of the boys were not revealed.
During the investigation, Odom said he and other DTF agents confirmed the allegations made by the victims and their parents.
“All of the victims and their families have been fully cooperative in the case,” he said. “We are still conducting interviews, and I expect there will be more victims before the investigation is complete.”
Odom wished to thank the District Attorney’s Office, Pleasant Home School Resource Officer Deputy Joe Schnieder, the Covington County Sheriff’s Office and Andalusia Police Department for their assistance in this case.
Taylor is being held in the Covington County Jail without bond.
Odom would not release any other information, as the investigation is ongoing, he said.
