Andalusia’s main focus is on tonight’s Class 4A sub regional game against Alabama Christian Academy, Bulldogs coach Richard Robertson said.

“Right now, we’re in the same place we want to be,” Robertson said. “We’re at home and we’re playing for the right to go to the regional (in Mobile).

“Our main focus is to get through (tonight),” he said. “Half of the teams left aren’t going to get through it.”

The Bulldogs (18-13) are coming off of a Class 4A, Area 3 championship win over Headland on Monday night.

AHS will tip off against the Eagles at 7 p.m. tonight.

Robertson said the players are fully aware of how important the game is tonight, as well as the fans.

“We’ll have our regular fan-base,” he said. “We’re fortunate we had a good crowd base (on Monday night). You’ve got to do what you’ve got to do.

“We’re going to come in and work and work and work,” he said. “Right now, with the season, we’re 2-0. What we’ve done before doesn’t matter.”

Robertson said he’s proud to be where the team is right now in the season.

“We’re not satisfied with some of the things that’s happened in the past,” he said. “We hope we have that rectified and are on solid ground (tonight).”
