SHS girls end season, fall to Rams

Straughn’s season came to an end on Thursday night.
The Lady Tigers lost 51-50 to Brewbaker Tech in the Class 4A sub regional at Sidney Lanier High School.
“I’m proud of my girls,” SHS coach Scott Kinsaul said. “We played well. We just didn’t quite get it done.
“We’ve got a bright future ahead of us,” he said.
Brittany Driver led SHS with 18 points; Jacie Williamson and Paige Taylor had 10 points each.
Kinsaul said he really appreciated the fan support that came up to Montgomery for the game.
“We had great fan support (Thursday nigh),” he said. “I want to thank them for coming.”
In the end, Kinsaul said this loss to will make the team “better.”
“We came up a little short,” he said. “This will make us better. We’ll go back to work and get ready for next year.”
Straughn finished the season 23-6.
