Saints fall to NFS

Northwest Florida State College took a 5-0 lead in the top of the second inning and never looked back, topping LBWCC 13-2 in regular season action on Tuesday.
The Saints’ only runs came in the fourth inning when Andalusia native Aaron Haag hit a two-run home run. Haag finished 3-for-4 for the Saints.
Opp native Gavin Free was the other run that scored on Haag’s home run. Free was 1-for-2.
Trevor Maxey was the only other Saints player that got a hit on Tuesday.
Thomas Dorminy pitched 4.2 innings, allowed six hits, five runs and struck out three in the loss.
NFSC’s Kyle McDorman struck out five in four innings and allowed two runs on two hits for the win.
Scottie Peavey and Nick Masonia had three hits each for NFSC.
Last week, the Saints shut out Marion Military 10-0 on Monday; lost to NFSC 9-4 on Wednesday; and split with Enterprise (won, 6-5) and Central (lost, 9-3) on Friday.
The Saints will host Marion Military Institute today. First pitch is at 1 p.m.
