GERAL DANIEL COLVIN

Geral Daniel Colvin, 76, died on Feb. 21, 2012, in the Malcolm Randal VA Hospital in Gainesville, Fla.

He worked as a Chevrolet manager/salesman in Alabama for 40 years and served in the National Guard for 23 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Colvin; and mother, Willie Bell (Bill) Colvin; sister, Valencia Brawner; and brother, Henry Madison Colvin.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Claudette Ward Colvin. Together, they had two children – son, Dr. Daniel L. Colvin, and daughter, Corlis Colvin Floyd; and two grandchildren, Adam Floyd and Blaire Colvin. He is also survived by many good friends and relatives.

Memorial services will be held Sat., Feb. 25, at noon, with the Rev. Tim Morgan officiating. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. at Andalusia Bible Church located at the corner of S. Three Notch Street and Moore Road in Andalusia. Lunch for the immediate family will be served in the fellowship hall of the church following the service.

In lieu of flowers, one may make a contribution to Andalusia Bible Church Building Fund or to the Crossover Ministries in Opp.

 

MERLE W. JOSEY

Merle W. Josey, 86, of Red Level, died Wed., Feb. 22, 2012, in the Andalusia Manor nursing facility.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., today, Fri., Feb. 24, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Knowles officiating and interment following in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be at Foreman Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Howard and Sue Owens, Paul Owens of Red Level, and Eric and Kaye Josey of Opp; her grandchildren, Jeff Owens, Kenny (Melissa) Owens, Rachel Josey, Rebecca Josey and Reid Josey; great-grandchildren, Zack Owens, Kelley Owens and Sarah Owens; and three sisters, Louise Henby and Katherine Wyatt, both of Andalusia, and Margie Alice Murphy of San Antonio, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eric Josey, and brother, Roscoe Worley.

PAUL C. PACE JR.

Paul C. Pace Jr., 69, of Wing, passed away Wed., Feb., 22, 2012, in the Andalusia hospital.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., today, Fri., Feb. 24, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery in Wing with the Rev. Glenn Hutto officiating and Keahey Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Pace; daughters, Lisa (Greg) Ross, Cindy (Luke) Vincent, all of Wing, and Tammy (Steve) Lawton of Elba; brothers, Charles Daniel (Ingrid) Pace of Wing, Marion Evans and Warren Evans; grandchildren, Jason (Kandice) Hughes, Diamond Ross, Meagan Robbins, Katie Robbins, Heather McCollough; Aharon McCollough; and great-grandchildren, Coleman Hughes, David Hughes, Kayla Hughes And Damon Hughes.
