Andalusia’s Lady Bulldogs head to Birmingham this morning with a 27-game winning streak under their belts and a dream of making it a 29-game streak.

That’s what it will take for them to claim the state 4A championship in the Magic City this weekend.

But things will only get tougher for the sixth-ranked Lady Bulldogs starting with tonight’s match-up against the top-ranked Good Hope Lady Raiders. The Lady Raiders have a streak of their own going – 28 games.

Our ladies have talent and coaching to earn a win over Good Hope, but it will not come easily. They’ll need discipline, focus, determination and effort in Birmingham to become the state champs.

Already, they’ve made a school and a city proud.
