LBW player jailed for drugs

An LBW Community College basketball player was arrested Thursday for allegedly distributing marijuana.
Court records show John Henry Groover, 24, allegedly bought marijuana on two different previous occasions with an undercover officer in Andalusia; however, on Thursday, he and three others were involved in a traffic stop made by Covington County Sheriff’s deputies.
Records indicate deputies, along with Drug Task Force agents, recovered 2 ounces of packaged marijuana from the vehicle, and as a result, Groover was arrested and jailed for two counts of distribution, as well as possession of marijuana I and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Covington County Jail and held on a $313,000 bond.
Also arrested were Williams Simmons, 22; Alicia Hollinger, 19; and Keyvonnia Kyles, 20. Each was arrested for possession of marijuana I and possession of drug paraphernalia and held on a $13,000 bond.
The college website lists Groover, a sophomore, as a guard on the team, whose hometown is Crestview, Fla.
