Maddox throws no-hitter to lead AHS

Quinton Maddox threw a no-hitter in fifth-ranked Andalusia’s 10-0 victory over Luverne tonight at the fourth annual Brantley/Luverne varsity baseball tournament.

Maddox was on the mound for the complete game, which lasted six innings.

In the first game of the night, Andalusia beat Goshen 17-1 in five innings.

Jud Rogers threw the entire game against GHS, and every player on the Bulldogs team got a hit.

Zack Ward led AHS and went 3-for-5 with a home run and two doubles. Grayson Campbell went 3-for-4 with two doubles.

In the second game, Rogers led the Bulldogs and went 3-for-4; Campbell went 2-for-3; and Will Harrison went 2-for-2.

Andalusia (9-1) will face rival Straughn tomorrow at 11 a.m. to continue in the tournament.
